Internal Medicine / Family Physician - Primary Care
About The Position
WIHD is actively recruiting an experienced Internist or Family Physician for part-time or full-time positions. This role serves patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities at a center of excellence in Valhalla, NY. The physician will lead a team including two advanced primary care practitioners and collaborate with various service lines within WIHD, such as neurology, physiatry, psychiatry, dental, nutrition, podiatry, endocrinology, urology, and speech and hearing. WIHD is known for promoting work-life balance regardless of the work schedule. The clinic operates Mondays through Fridays.
Requirements
- Board-Certified.
- Hold or be able to obtain a New York State Medical License, MD or DO.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in clinical, administrative and educational leadership.
- Experience or a passion working with individuals with development disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Serve patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Conduct home visits via NYS certified mobile van.
- Lead a team of two advanced primary care practitioners.
- Collaborate with numerous service lines at WIHD, including neurology, physiatry, psychiatry, dental, nutrition, podiatry, endocrinology, urology, speech and hearing, and more.
