About The Position

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join an employed, full-time daytime position within a busy, well-respected practice at Ascension Mercy Hospital. Join an Established Team: Collaborate within a close-knit daytime environment alongside 2 daytime rounders and 1 dedicated APP, supported overnight by 1 Nocturnist to ensure smooth handoffs. Practice Setting: Dedicated inpatient rounding with a highly desirable, sustainable workload averaging just 10–14 patients daily. Clinical Flexibility: Focus on medical management with zero procedure requirements, though you maintain the clinical autonomy to perform them if desired. Optimal Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a highly predictable 7-on/7-off schedule (12-hour shifts) requiring only 175 shifts per year to maintain full-time status. Lead Inpatient Recovery: Evaluate and treat acute and chronic conditions with precision, acting as the primary attending or consulting physician to guide patients safely through their hospital stay. Champion Care Cost-Effectiveness: Partner with a collaborative team to improve clinical quality metrics and patient safety, ensuring high-value care across the campus. Ascension Mercy Hospital is a historic 150-bed critical care facility in Oshkosh, proudly serving the community for over a century. Recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and a Certified Stroke and Chest Pain Center, the hospital features a robust 24/7 Hospitalist, Emergency Care, and ICU presence. As a destination for specialty care, the campus boasts advanced sub-specialty services—including orthopedics, heart and vascular health, oncology, and robotic-assisted surgery—offering full clinical backing for your inpatient panel.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
