About The Position

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Physician to provide comprehensive medical services to patients in the assigned area at Genesys in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The physician will support patient health and well-being through diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination, helping ensure high-quality, cost-effective care. The role may involve inpatient and outpatient consultations, hospital care, on-call schedules, and participation in academic programs, including medical education and research, as requested. The department is based in a supportive care environment in Grand Blanc, with access to Flint, Detroit, and Northern Michigan.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical license to practice in Michigan.
• Board certification or eligibility in the relevant specialty.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in academic medicine or research.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Coordinate discharge planning with case management to support seamless patient transitions.
• Recommend and participate in initiatives to improve the cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
• Accept patient referrals and serve as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for hospitalized patients.
• Participate in academic programs, including medical education and research, as requested.
• Provide thorough documentation to meet insurance requirements and promptly appeal denials.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call schedules, for the relevant specialty.
