About The Position

Atrium Health, a leading community-focused academic healthcare system, invites Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join their Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Internal Medicine-Premier practice in High Point, NC. The organization seeks an individual passionate about delivering quality patient care in a highly productive clinic setting that emphasizes collegiality and collaboration. The position involves joining a team of 4 Physicians and 4 APPs, working Monday–Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, with a 4.5-day work week focused on direct outpatient patient care. There are no nights or weekends required, and call is minimal, rotating among all providers. Requirements

  • Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Functions independently in the primary care office setting in collaboration with a supervising physician.
  • Provides care that may be longitudinal, and is responsible for disease management across time, or provides care for overflow and sick visits.
  • Emphasis on preventative care, stable acute illness reprieve, health promotion and illness/injury prevention.
  • Functions independently in the on-site occupational or teammate health clinic settings in collaboration with a supervising physician.
  • Provides care that is focused on single-visit encounters.
  • Emphasis is on illness reprieve and medication/vaccination compliance.
  • Coordinates staffing and orientation of assigned team members.
  • Plans and conducts ongoing education and training.
  • Maintains infection control/safety standards.
  • Committed to providing and promoting patient-centered communication and care.
