About The Position

The Internal Consultant is a vital member of the Office of the CEO-Performance Services. Under general supervision, the Consultant provides client facing, consultative and advisory services to MUSC Health executive leaders, ICCE, Business Units, Functional areas and teams and serves a liaison to functions of the across the Health System. This position is responsible for partnering with leaders across the health system and its division in identifying, validating, monitoring and reporting performance metrics, operational capabilities and continual process improvements across all pillars. This role is responsible for developing innovative solutions and alternatives to address specific business objectives for their assigned operational leaders/business units. The Internal Consultant assists clients to create innovative solutions that maximize one or more of the following: Family and patient satisfaction, clinical/quality outcomes, patient safety, service quality, physician satisfaction, employee satisfaction, or operational/financial performance. The consultant provides advisory services for navigating governance, leadership accountability, performance management, goal setting, reporting requirements, performance transformation, Baldrige approach and adherence to the principles of High reliability (HRO). As a vital member of the Office of the CEO, the Internal Consultant support the integration and systemization of health system mergers and acquisitions; serving as a member of the Corporate Integration Management Office.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent Work Experience
  • 4-6 years of experience

Responsibilities
