About The Position

Edmonton Airports is looking for an Internal Communications & Culture Partner who is passionate about storytelling, connection, and creating meaningful team member experiences. This role plays an important part in helping team members understand the “why” behind the work happening across the airport. By sharing authentic stories about our people, projects, and culture, you will help strengthen engagement and ensure our internal communications are clear, human, and aligned with our strategy and values. You’ll collaborate closely with People & Culture, Corporate Communications, and leaders across the organization to bring our culture to life through thoughtful communication, engaging content, and impactful internal campaigns.

Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, or a related role.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and leadership voices.
  • Ability to think strategically while delivering high-quality communications and content.
  • Experience working with digital communication platforms such as intranet tools, email platforms, Microsoft Office/SharePoint.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly collaborative and relationship-oriented, with confidence working with leaders at all levels.
  • Experience with Creative Storytelling: Bringing ideas and stories to life in engaging and human ways.
  • People-Centred: Understands team member experience and internal audiences as key stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, or design tools is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with People & Culture and leaders to recommend communication approaches that drive engagement, understanding, and action.
  • Translate organizational priorities, cultural initiatives, and change efforts into clear and compelling internal narratives.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on messaging, tone, and communication channels.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of internal communication standards, voice, and storytelling approaches.
  • Create engaging content across internal channels including the HUB intranet, SkyLine newsletter, digital screens, presentations, video, Teams, WhatsApp, and print resources.
  • Share stories that highlight team members, innovation, projects, and culture in action.
  • Draft executive messages, team announcements, leadership communications, and talking points.
  • Support the development of engaging job descriptions and recruitment messaging that reflect our culture.
  • Contribute to onboarding communications that help new team members feel informed and connected from day one.
  • Manage and continuously improve the HUB intranet to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and engaging.
  • Coordinate internal communication resources across departments to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Ensure communication channels are used intentionally and effectively to maximize impact.
  • Develop and execute communication plans for People & Culture initiatives such as performance management, engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and major internal projects.
  • Support internal events including Team Talks, onboarding sessions, SoWell events, and corporate events.
  • Partner with People & Culture and Brand Engagement to support recruitment campaigns and promote Edmonton Airports’ culture.
  • Assist with campaign logistics and communications to drive participation and engagement.
  • Work closely with People & Culture to support culture, leadership, onboarding, and engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Brand, and Marketing to ensure alignment between internal messaging and external brand sentiment.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to communicate operational updates, projects, and change initiatives.
  • Provide communications support during operational disruptions or emergencies to ensure team members receive clear and timely information.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of internal communications through analytics, surveys, and feedback.
  • Provide recommendations to improve reach, engagement, clarity, and overall impact.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in internal communications, employee engagement, and workplace culture.
