Student Internship - Internal Auditor
About The Position
ISO New England is seeking a motivated student for an Internal Auditor Internship. This role offers hands-on experience in auditing and risk management, where the intern will assist in evaluating processes, preparing audit workpapers, and supporting audit testing for business and IT operations. The internship is ideal for students in auditing, accounting, or business administration who are detail-oriented and enjoy problem-solving. The intern will gain practical auditing skills, understand internal controls and risk assessments in a large organization, and see how their work contributes to the company's efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
- Completion of at least three years of college in auditing, accounting, or business administration.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
- Must have the authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship.
- Must be currently enrolled in a four-year or graduate-level academic program.
- Must have completed at least the first year of college.

Responsibilities
- Assist with internal audit fieldwork, including testing and evaluation of processes.
- Support SSAE-18 engagement testing and SOC-1 report review.
- Prepare audit workpapers to support internal audit opinions.
- Perform administrative tasks such as following up on outstanding audit issues.
- Work under the guidance of the Audit Manager, Principal Auditor, and Director of Internal Audit.
