This role involves performing ongoing monitoring of internal controls, policies, and procedures within bank operations. The Internal Auditor is responsible for identifying, tracking, mitigating, and reporting on findings from audits, examinations, and special projects. They will conduct internal audits for specific operational areas, focusing on internal controls and related policies. The position serves as a primary resource for staff and management regarding operational policies and procedures, particularly those related to internal and risk-mitigating controls. Additionally, the Internal Auditor acts as the main contact for third-party and external auditors, examiners, and consultants, coordinating material requests and managing communication. They will also assist the Compliance Officer in preparing information for bank committee meetings and consult on improvements to internal controls and the control culture, as well as monitor and update risk assessments.
