Internal Auditor
About The Position
Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for an Internal Auditor position. Incumbents in this single-position classification are required to exercise initiative and considerable independent judgment within the framework of general policies established by SacSewer. This classification is responsible for preparing financial, auditing, and accounting records while performing highly specialized financial and accounting functions and maintaining all financial reports. Incumbents develop district-wide work plans, document audit procedures and results, execute routine audit procedures, analyze evidence, perform analysis, and presents findings. The Internal Auditor provides services designed to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, internal controls and compliance.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university in accounting or other closely related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in auditing in a public or private industry
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience
