About The Position

Scott Electric Company, a large independent electrical distributor with locations across multiple states, is seeking an Internal Auditor for its Greensburg, PA office. This role involves reviewing internal controls, policies, and procedures across operational, financial, and information systems to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and accuracy. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and reporting findings to management.

Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a background in operational auditing
Extensive knowledge of information systems security
Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and reporting
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with accounting software
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
Three years of related experience required
Internal audits: 1 year required
Must submit a background check and drug testing.

Nice To Haves

Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation

Responsibilities

Reviews operational, financial, and electronic information systems' internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness
Audits the company’s information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements
Audits the company’s financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency
Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to existing practices and procedures
Performs other related duties as assigned
