About The Position

The purpose of the role is to conduct internal audits against the requirements outlined in AS9100, NADCAP, GE Aerospace, and governmental regulations here at GE Aerospace – Muskegon. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Requirements

  • Demonstrate ability to read, understand, and interpret Quality Procedures and Standards per internal & external requirements (Example: AS9100, Rev. C, E50TF217 & P23TF3), as well as internal controlling documents such as MOSs and EMSs.
  • General understanding of the Special Process used at GE Muskegon, including, but not limited to, Cleanliness, Thermal Spray and VPA Coatings, Airflow, Welding, Heat Treat, Braze, Nonconventional Machining, Laser, X-ray, and FPI.
  • Demonstrate communication skills needed to perform audits.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must interview with a panel and be selected upon skills, abilities, and engagement.
  • Employee will have a 60-day period to establish performance in new classification and acquire necessary tools. If such performance is not established and maintained, the individual will be returned to previous classification.
  • Ability to prove U.S. Person status (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee or refugee status).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regularly scheduled internal audits of all functions within the company, including operators, engineers, and higher-level staff.
  • Manage the creation and completion of the audit schedule, with the assistance of the quality systems team, to ensure all requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Document and report all completed audits for review of the Quality Systems Leader.
  • Document any and all non-compliances or nonconformances found while auditing, both in an audit report, and in the Corrective Action Request system.
  • Assist in root cause and corrective action investigations, as needed.
  • Follow up on and determine if provided root cause corrective actions are effective.
