About The Position

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking an Intern, SOX & Internal Auditor for its Calgary office. This is a summer student term position reporting to the Director, Internal Audit. The Internal Audit team provides independent assurance on the company's risk management, control, and governance processes to the Audit Committee and management. The role aims to add value and improve operations through assurance and advisory services. The position is hybrid and part of the Financial Services Division.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 3rd / 4th year post-secondary program and returning to school following the end of the work term.
  • Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for.
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule.
  • Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations.
  • Must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
  • Must undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting, Finance, and prior exposure to data analytics, computer science, project management, analysis, and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Perform SOX Control Testing (Primarily ITGC) and Internal Audit engagement testing.
  • Assist with the Business Unit’s Digital Enablement (AI) initiatives.
  • Participate in a project and present outcomes or learnings at the end of the term.
  • Engage in day-to-day work and learning activities using tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office (including AI Agents, Copilot), AI such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and various Data Analytics tools such as Python.
