Position
Come join WCF insurance as an Internal Audit Intern for an educational hands-on approach to learning about insurance and mitigating risk. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), temporary position that works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters.
In this role, you'll gain real-world experience by working directly with our Director of Internal Audit, participate in professional development through group learning sessions, corporate training, and networking events, and contribute to impactful initiatives that protect businesses and communities across the region.
After the internship, there is a possibility of a part-time position as an apprentice depending on business needs.

Requirements

• Completed three to four years of higher education in related fields such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related areas.
• Interest in Internal Audit and Risk Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director of Internal Audit and members of management throughout the organization to identify areas of risk and evaluate associated internal controls.
• Conduct audits, perform audit planning, fieldwork/procedures, workpaper documentation, report writing, and presentation.
• Provide objective assurance, advice, insight, and foresight, and contribute to risk management initiatives.
