About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide independent, objective support and advisory services across the organization. This position will support the Internal Audit team in conducting audits, evaluating internal controls, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field who are looking to build foundational skills in audit. The incumbent must support the guiding beliefs and core values of Orion, which are centered on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork most importantly, with each built upon the all-important foundation of Integrity.

Requirements

  • Individuals in this position must be enrolled in college or university and work experience which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • Major courses of study may be in of the following areas: Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related fields of study.
  • Individuals must have computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and be able to word process at least 60 WPM.
  • The position also requires good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness, and the ability to keep all Company information and materials strictly confidential (both internally and externally) are essential elements of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Directly assist internal auditors with tasks and audit projects
  • Perform interim Sarbanes-Oxley audit testing for Business Process.
  • Document testing results in accordance with standard workpaper methodology.
  • Address review comments provided by Internal Audit Management.
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring of identified deficiencies and enhancement opportunities.
  • Participate in SOX walkthroughs.
  • Responsible and accountable for incumbent’s own personal safety.
  • Responsible and accountable for the safety of all co-workers and any others incumbent comes in contact with.
  • Authorized and obligated to stop work on any task or series of tasks whenever an unsafe condition or situation is anticipated or is observed.
  • Complies with all applicable laws, regulations and Company policies and procedures, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so.
  • Reports any and all violations of applicable laws, regulations or Company policies and procedures promptly, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do so.
  • Performs other related administrative and technical duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision (such as certification training, safety training, procedure review, etc.).
