About The Position

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as an Internal Audit Intern. This important role will perform entry level internal audit duties, which will include assisting experienced audit staff with the completion of audit fieldwork activities, testing transactions and effectiveness of internal controls. The intern will also perform tasks to support other department administration and process improvement initiatives. Virginia Housing is one of the nation’s premier housing finance agencies. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A field of study, academic background, or demonstrated interest in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related study.
  • Interest and passion for working in public service.
  • Basic knowledge of business, finance, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude for critical thinking.
  • Some experience working in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
