About The Position

The Internal Service Advisor plays a crucial role in the success of both the Sales and Service departments of the dealership. This role is responsible for serving as a liaison between multiple departments to ensure vehicles are efficiently prepared to be sold and added to the inventory in a timely manner.

Requirements

Previous automotive service, reconditioning, or dealership experience preferred.
Working knowledge of automotive repair processes, repair orders, and dealership service operations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vehicles and priorities at the same time.
Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, managers, and other dealership departments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation and follow-through.
Ability to identify delays, resolve routine issues, and keep vehicles progressing through the service process.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment where vehicle turnaround time and quality are important.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

Coordinate service and repair work for dealership-owned vehicles, including pre-owned, sales, and other internal inventory.
Create and manage repair orders, document requested work, and ensure repair information is accurate and complete.
Review technician findings and coordinate repair needs, approvals, parts, and next steps with the appropriate departments.
Monitor vehicles throughout the repair and reconditioning process, following up on delays and helping keep work moving efficiently.
Communicate vehicle status, repair needs, costs, and estimated completion times to internal stakeholders.
Verify completed work and documentation before closing repair orders and releasing vehicles.
Partner with technicians, Parts, Sales, Pre-Owned, and Service leadership to support timely vehicle readiness.
