Intern (Pipeline Integrity)

Berkshire Hathaway Energy•Bridgeport, WV
•Onsite

About The Position

BHE GT&S is hiring a summer 2027 engineering intern in its Pipeline Integrity Department at the White Oaks General Office in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The internship begins June 7 and includes at least eight weeks working onsite. Earlier start dates or extended end dates may be available depending on the student's schedule and business needs. Candidates located 50 miles or more from the assigned work location may be eligible for a one-time housing stipend. An independent source of transportation is needed because public transportation options in the area are limited. The intern will assist with pipeline integrity work, including reviewing corrosion records and comparing them with integrity inline inspection data to identify gaps or locations that may need additional inspections. The intern will also review close interval survey data, compile depth-of-cover data for risk ranking and GIS, develop a process for integrating data within GIS, compare surveys to determine lengths for integration into Maximo, participate in engineering reviews of pipeline safety and compliance measures, and review rectifier measurements to assess the end of life of existing ground beds. Candidates should be motivated to learn and contribute in a safety-conscious workplace.
