About The Position

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The intern will support engineers in various aspects of production, process optimization, and product development. Key activities include data collection and analysis, participation in root cause analysis, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role also involves contributing to sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The intern will be expected to maintain accurate records and present findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook a plus.
Time management and organization skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting related to production performance or process optimization.
Support engineers in planning, designing, and testing manufacturing process or product modifications.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for production or quality issues.
Prepare and update standard operating procedures, technical documents, and engineer drawings.
Conduct studies and assist with line balance, workflow layout, or equipment evaluations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Operations.
Contribute to sustainability and waste reduction projects as assigned.
Maintain accurate records of project progress and findings.
Ensure all work complies with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Present findings or recommendations to supervisors and other project stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
