About The Position
The City of Berkeley invites applications for an Intern position. Interns may work up to 19 hours per week for a period of up to one year. Internships may be available in various departments including Mayor and City Council offices, Engineering and Public Works, Parks, Recreation & Waterfront, Planning & Development, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, City Manager's Office, and Public Safety (Police, Fire). This is an opportunity to explore a future in public service through hands-on experience.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled full-time or part-time in an accredited college or university in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree program; OR
- Obtained a degree within the last twelve (12) months; OR
- Must meet requirements as stipulated for an educational, certification, or licensure program.
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience in public service.
- Work up to 19 hours per week.
- Potentially work for a period of up to one year.
