About The Position

This part-time position is located in the Administration Division of the Airports Department within the City of Oklahoma City. This position is used for training purposes in the field of public administration and in the specific operation of City departments. The position is responsible for providing standard research and administrative and/or technical support to an assigned City department. Typical duties include: performing a wide variety of administrative, project-related, department-specific, and/or financial assignments to assist a City department or division. This position may also be utilized for students and interns working part-time on special projects while completing advanced degree programs.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application submission.
  • Employees in part-time/year-round positions may work no more than 29 hours per week.
  • Completion of the application questions is required.
  • Applicant responses to the application questions must specifically answer the questions asked.
  • Responses to application questions must be supported by work history/information listed on the application/resume.
  • Employees assigned to the Airports Department must successfully pass a thorough TSA background check including fingerprinting.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year of college-level coursework in accounting or finance.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic spreadsheet creation and data entry.
  • Knowledge of fundamental account reconciliation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for basic account reconciliations, including payroll.
  • Supporting both accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Performing a wide variety of administrative, project-related, department-specific, and/or financial assignments to assist a City department or division.
  • Providing standard research and administrative and/or technical support to an assigned City department.
