Oceanside teens, in grades 10-12, are encouraged to apply to be a paid intern at the Oceanside Public Library. Interns will gain essential job skills and engage with their community. As an intern, you will work 180 hours over four months at Library locations or community sites, primarily based at the Civic Center Library. The internship will focus on social-emotional learning, professional development and gaining practical job experience. Interns will support the library's community meal services and activities for kids as well as assist with day-to-day Library operations, and other areas such as social media, outreach and programming. Teens Work is an internship program supported by Measure X Funding. The program provides employment, mentorship, and workforce development for teens while supporting important meal programs, community initiatives and youth enrichment in Oceanside neighborhoods.
