The Underwriting & Administrative Intern will support the underwriting team by assisting with risk evaluation, data analysis, documentation, and day‑to‑day operational tasks.

Requirements

  • Support the underwriting team by assisting with risk evaluation, data analysis, documentation, and day‑to‑day operational tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist underwriters in gathering, reviewing, and organizing submission materials, including applications, loss runs, financials, and supplemental forms.
  • Conduct background research on insureds, industries, and risk factors to support underwriting decisions.
  • Input and maintain accurate data in underwriting systems, rating tools, and internal databases.
  • Support scheduling, file management, document preparation, and internal communication workflows.
  • Assist with preparing binders, endorsements, quote letters, and renewal documentation.
  • Help review files for completeness, compliance, and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
  • Work with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to support ongoing projects and process improvements.
