About The Position

St. Luke's is seeking an Intern to support the 3D Printing and Innovation Lab. This role involves hands-on assistance with 3D printing and laser engraving operations, basic design and prototyping, and the creation and refinement of simulation trainers and educational tools. The intern will also assist with material preparation, equipment organization, documentation, and iterative testing to support innovation, education, and simulation-based learning initiatives. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or current student enrolled in a two or four-year college or university, with a preference for those in a related academic program. Responsibilities

  • Support the 3D Printing and Innovation Lab through hands-on assistance with 3D printing and laser engraving operations.
  • Assist with basic design and prototyping.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of simulation trainers and educational tools.
  • Help with material preparation, equipment organization, documentation, and iterative testing.
  • Support innovation, education, and simulation-based learning initiatives.
  • Support a department’s goals by providing assistance, ideas and solutions.
  • Work independently to complete tasks by assigned deadlines, following instructions given by manager for short-term and long-term projects.
  • Collaborate with a team to work on projects and make process improvements.
  • Professionally communicate, effectively prioritize tasks and manage time well.
  • Learn and utilize technology, software/hardware, tools and/or internal processes to complete assignments and tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
  • Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follow appropriate reporting requirements.
