About The Position

The Intern completes a program designed to build familiarity with dealership operations, focusing on a single department within a Rush Truck Center. The internship provides an opportunity to become a candidate for consideration for the New Graduate Program after successfully completing a bachelor’s degree program. Placement in the New Graduate Program requires a recommendation from the regional manager. Interns are also expected to become familiar with company policies and procedures and gain working knowledge of their assigned department.

Rush Truck Centers is a network of commercial vehicle dealerships representing truck and bus manufacturers, including Peterbilt, International, Hino, Isuzu, Ford, IC Bus, and Blue Bird. The employee may also be asked to follow other instructions and perform other duties requested by their leader.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited four-year university.
• Possess a current and valid driver’s license.
• Have a driving record that meets the company insurance carrier’s insurability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work physically in required job functions to gain working knowledge of each department and proficiency in dealership operations.
• Maintain a driving record that meets the company insurance carrier’s insurability guidelines.
• Work designated hours.
• Support different dealership functions as assigned.
• Become familiar with company policies and procedures and gain working knowledge of the assigned department.
• Perform other duties requested by the employee’s leader.
