About The Position

BHE GT&S is offering a summer internship for a sophomore, junior, or senior studying engineering or drafting. The intern will work on site at Leesburg Station in Leesburg, Virginia, gaining exposure to a functioning natural gas transmission facility and applying classroom knowledge to engineering and drafting activities that support reliable energy infrastructure. The internship will last at least eight weeks and begin June 7, 2027; an earlier start or later end may be possible depending on the student’s schedule and business needs. The role involves collaborating with engineers, drafters, and technicians as well as managing assigned work independently. The intern will use Microsoft Word and Excel for reports and documentation and must follow safety protocols. Field activities may take place outdoors and may involve working at heights or in confined spaces, with safety gear as required.
