About The Position

Freese and Nichols is recruiting for their Summer 2027 Internship Program, recognized as a Top 100 Internship Program by Yello and WayUp. The program is committed to providing an experience that helps interns grow professionally, build meaningful connections, and make a real difference. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers on projects that strengthen communities, improve infrastructure, and shape the future, gaining hands-on experience in their chosen engineering discipline. They will also have opportunities to explore other technical practice areas to discover new interests and understand career paths. The program emphasizes building professional networks through connections with fellow interns, emerging professionals, and leaders via networking events, professional development opportunities, and activities hosted by the Young Professionals Group. The internships are designed to be immersive and collaborative, with interns working in the office alongside their team daily to build strong relationships, learn through mentorship, and collaborate with peers and professionals. Relocation and housing stipends are not provided.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a BS or MS degree in one of the majors listed above
• Graduation date of August 2027 or later

Responsibilities

• Perform specific and limited tasks within a broader assignment
• Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations
• Assist project manager as needed
• Collect, adjust, and correlate perform calculations, and recognize discrepancies in results
