About The Position

LG Electronics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join their Zenith Finance Team for a 9-week summer program. This internship offers hands-on learning, mentorship from industry experts, a strategic individual project with a final presentation, and networking opportunities. Interns will collaborate with passionate teams, work on cutting-edge technology, and contribute to projects that impact millions of people globally. The program focuses on developing skills in financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, expense and cost management, and month-end close processes. Interns will gain real-world experience and contribute meaningfully to the team's objectives.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year university, majoring in Accounting or Finance
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and strong interest in finance and accounting processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy and responsibility
• Able to work in a structured, professional finance environment

Responsibilities

• Support financial reporting & analysis.
• Provide forecast / expense / cost support.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including identifying missing or pending expenses and preparing preliminary monthly accruals under supervision.
• Perform initial review and draft-level summaries of accounts with significant month-over-month variances.
• Prepare supporting materials and documentation for month-end close reviews.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders and HQ.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather and validate financial data for planning and analysis purposes.
• Update and maintain Excel-based financial models to track expenses and support forecasting activities.
• Assist with variance analysis between forecasted and actual results at a draft and support level.
• Process accounts payable invoices and support accurate coding to general ledger accounts.
• Support basic cost analysis activities to help identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
