About The Position

TSMC Arizona is seeking engineering talents for its advanced technology fab in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities may extend beyond those listed and will be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university in a Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. degree program.
  • Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related engineering fields.
  • Able to work full-time for 10 weeks (40 hours per week) on-site.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and design is a strong add.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Inline and EOL electrical data to determine causes for issues, collaborating with Integration, YED, and Process/Equipment engineers (Process Integration Engineer Intern).
  • Focus on defect inspection methodology to deduce root causes of critical issues, collaborating with stakeholders and innovating techniques to combat defect issues (Yield Excellence Engineer Intern).
  • Deliver robust and efficient semiconductor manufacturing through data-driven analytics and systematic problem-solving, optimizing processes with experimental design, precision control, and statistical methods (Process Engineer Intern).
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address technology gaps and focus on continuous improvement in stability, quality, yield, productivity, and safety (Process Engineer Intern).
  • Improve and maintain tool performance in a cleanroom environment to ensure quality production (Equipment Engineer Intern).
  • Troubleshoot alarms, install and qualify new tools, resolve critical equipment issues, and improve tool uptime (Equipment Engineer Intern).
  • Enhance hardware capabilities, implement systems to prevent equipment failures, and manage vendor relationships (Equipment Engineer Intern).
