About The Position
Samet's Summer Internship Program offers college students the opportunity to work on active construction projects across the Southeast. Interns will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of construction, including project management, field operations, estimating, and business development. The program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how construction projects progress from conception to completion, emphasizing leadership, schedule management, and quality delivery. Participants will develop essential skills, build professional relationships with mentors and peers, and explore career opportunities within Samet Corporation's culture of quality, safety, and employee investment.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a college student (construction management, engineering, or related major preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in both office and construction site environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Previous construction or related industry experience
- Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, AutoCAD, or Revit
Responsibilities
- Assist project managers and superintendents with daily construction operations on active job sites
- Support project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, and change orders
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client interactions
- Contribute to estimating and preconstruction activities
- Assist with safety inspections and quality control processes
