About The Position

Our internship program is designed to help you develop skills essential to the insurance industry, as well as make connections and build relationships in the real world. Exposure to an office environment is beneficial for students of all majors. We will expand your knowledge beyond the classroom and give you hands-on real-world experiences. As an intern at Diversified Insurance, you will work directly with mentors that will be assigned to you regarding a wide range of projects related to insurance, HR, marketing, recruiting, accounting, claims, sales and other areas of the office. Our internships are designed to be both educational and practical. You will learn how to take skills that may have been acquired in school relating to your area of interest and apply them in a professional setting. You will gain a better understanding of the insurance industry from the consumer's point of view as well an employee in the industry. A learning agreement is provided to each intern to give them the overall experience of working in an office setting as well as understand what the insurance industry has to offer.

Requirements

Previous experience in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to sit for an extended period at a desk.
Must be able to read screens, documents, and participate in conversations or phone calls with or without assistive devices.
Handling documents, laptops, or office supplies (typically, up to 10-25 lbs.).
Will need to engage with colleagues, clients, or stakeholders.
