About The Position

Gain practical experience in performing arts event services by learning how events are planned, coordinated, and supported from initial client inquiry through event-day execution. The intern will develop skills in venue management, event staffing, contracts, administrative support, attendance reporting, customer service, and front-of-house operations while working collaboratively with Event Services staff.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a physical presence at designated work locations.

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent time and task management skills.
  • Pursuing a degree in Arts Administration, Event Management, Business or related field.
  • College Senior or recent graduate (within 1 year).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and track event-related work orders, including HVAC and custodial requests.
  • Assist with event staffing needs, including police detail requests.
  • Answer incoming calls professionally, gather key information from potential clients, and document inquiries accurately.
  • Assist with maintaining and reporting show-related attendance data and other event information.
  • Provide hands-on support during events, including front-of-house operations, catering coordination, and client communication.
  • Build customer service, teamwork, accountability, and problem-solving skills through interaction with clients, guests, staff, vendors, and venue partners.
  • Learn the process for preparing and executing rental contracts and building ticketing riders.
  • Gather, document, and communicate event, client, venue, and ticketing information.
