Intern - Veterinary Technician
About The Position
A veterinary technician intern supports the medical team while building hands-on clinical skills in a supervised setting. They assist with patient care tasks such as restraint, basic nursing care, preparing equipment, and maintaining clean and organized treatment areas. Interns observe and gradually participate in procedures like sample collection, imaging, anesthesia support, and treatments, depending on their skill level. They also help with client interactions, recordkeeping, and learning hospital protocols, all while developing the technical knowledge and professional behaviors needed for a veterinary technician role.
Requirements
- Recent or soon to be graduate of an AVMA-Accredited Veterinary Technology program
