About The Position

RTX's Pratt & Whitney is seeking interns to help transform the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing engines. This internship offers an exceptional foundation to work on complex problems, advance skills, and contribute to a safer, more connected world. Interns will have the opportunity to explore the aerospace and defense industry, learn from experts, and collaborate on challenging projects. The role is based in East Hartford, CT, and requires U.S. citizenship due to the nature of the information accessed under the program/contract.

Requirements

  • Pursuing degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Programming experience in Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in SQL and working with relational databases.
  • Experience with aircraft engine systems and validation processes.
  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas.
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models to forecast risk factors in support of engine validation planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and other stakeholders to define engine validation data requirements and analyze datasets.
  • Apply statistical models to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in engine validation datasets to extract actionable insights.
  • Design and implement data visualization dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively.
  • Develop and publish new knowledge assets within EKS (ESW, K-Packs, GB, training, etc.).
  • Communicate results and insights to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
