Michael Baker International's Public Works/Transportation Team in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting transportation and public works projects for municipal and county clients throughout Southern California.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Interest in Transportation and/or Public Works Engineering.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional consulting environment.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers with transportation, traffic, active transportation, and public works projects.
Support the preparation of plans, reports, cost estimates, and technical documents.
Perform research, data collection, and basic engineering calculations.
Gain experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools.
Participate in team meetings, project discussions, and occasional field visits.
Learn from experienced professionals through mentorship and training opportunities.
