About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support the Company’s evolving transmission and distribution grids. Engineering interns will work with experienced team members to assist on transmission, distribution, or distributed generation projects or complete individual work assignments related to relay protection, coordination, logic design, and operational performance. This role offers a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking).

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Equally effective working independently or in a team environment
• Time management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments
• Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
• Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices
• Candidate must be a full-time student pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree majoring in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program with a graduation date of 2028 or 2029.
• Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher; a 3.3 cumulative GPA is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Programming skills for automation assignments preferred (e.g. VBA, Python, .NET, C#)
