Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. We are seeking ambitious and high-performing students to join our engineering team as a summer intern. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn about Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket Operations. As a Summer Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic and collaborative environment and gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and processes that are shaping the future of aviation.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools and software such as CAD, MATLAB, or similar programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in the aerospace or related industries.
  • Knowledge of gas turbine engines or propulsion systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through projects, extracurricular activities, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations and Quality, to identify and resolve real-time challenges effectively.
  • Support ongoing engineering initiatives across the repair facility, focusing on machine industrialization, repair development, and process optimization.
  • Develop and refine detailed process plans that provide clear work instructions for operators while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain the airworthiness of both commercial and military engine hardware.
  • Lead and contribute to targeted engineering projects designed to enhance repair quality, improve on-time delivery, and drive overall business profitability.
