This role has been designated for a 100% on‑site work arrangement. Crestron Interns and Co‑Ops can expect to be challenged with meaningful projects and tasks alongside professionals and subject matter experts in the field. Interns are assigned a dedicated mentor who will be responsible for their development and acclimation to the company. Crestron also provides training and networking opportunities designed to deliver a comprehensive internship experience that enhances both technical and non‑technical skill sets and prepares students for future professional careers. Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university working toward a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
  • Must be commutable to and from the Orangeburg, NY area for the duration of the internship period.
  • Must have permanent, unrestricted work authorization in the United States now and in the future.
  • Knowledge or experience in PTC Creo (Pro/E), Solidworks, or related software
  • Experience designing parts and creating engineering drawings (at school or prior internship)
  • Desire to learn about the PCBA manufacturing process
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, creative, have a solid work ethic and have a desire to produce a quality product
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening) with the ability to articulate work at different levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Inquisitive individual with a desire to learn, possessing a long-term desire to work in the electronics/PCBA manufacturing industry
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Positive, personable, and able to work cohesively with others across various divisions

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge/understanding of electrical circuits is a plus
  • Experience/working knowledge with Power Platform applications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Process Engineering team to review new Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) designs and determine process steps for manufacturing PCBAs
  • Interface with the Production Operations Team to deploy new process instructions and/or tools
  • Program and operate automated soldering & automated depaneling (router) machines
  • Use process troubleshooting tools to identify the root cause of assembly issues
  • Document and communicate first time build results and opportunities for improvement
