About The Position

The Structural Engineering Intern will work with engineering and design staff to design buildings and structures constructed of concrete, structural steel, and masonry.

Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar is required.
• Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD is required.
• Familiarity with FEA structural software is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to read and understand both 2D and 3D drawings is required.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management.
• Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
• Must comply with Vestal Corporations’ core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineers and Design staff on specific project
• Participate in project strategy meetings within discipline and gain exposure to design concepts, pricing, and proposal techniques/requirements.
• Participate in design research and other activities.
• Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship.
• Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management.
• Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
