About The Position

As a Structural Engineering Intern with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the Knoxville, Tennessee office, you will perform engineering tasks to develop your engineering skills while supporting project teams on varied projects. You will develop 3D design models and perform discipline calculations, prepare specifications, sketches, and drawings, and coordinate with Electrical, Architectural, Civil, and Geotechnical disciplines. CEC’s Internship Program provides practical experience applying college coursework, opportunities to learn from industry experts and collaborate across teams, and opportunities to build a professional network through social events and interactive activities. Interns work closely with a mentor in their discipline, participate in workshops to develop interpersonal skills, and prepare for success in full-time careers.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a Civil or Structural Engineering program.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Previous AutoCAD or Revit experience.
Previous intern experience.

Responsibilities
