About The Position

As a Software Engineering Intern on Micron’s Digital Solutions and Enterprise Applications team, you will help design, develop, and support software solutions addressing business needs across Micron. You will gain hands-on experience building full-stack applications, AI agents, automation solutions, and enterprise platforms using modern development tools, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled engineering practices. The team develops software platforms that enable business operations, automation, and digital transformation. Using modern software engineering practices, AI technologies, and cloud-native solutions, it delivers scalable applications intended to improve productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

0–2 years of relevant experience through internships, academic projects, research, software development activities, hackathons, or technical work experience.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, C/C++, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
Understanding of software development fundamentals, object-oriented programming, software architecture, and application design principles.
Familiarity with web technologies, databases, APIs, version control systems, and modern development environments.
Demonstrated experience using AI-enabled tools and large language models (LLMs), such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar technologies, to improve software development productivity and problem-solving.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing AI agents, AI-assisted workflows, prompt engineering solutions, or generative AI applications.
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), agentic workflows, tool integration frameworks, or AI orchestration platforms.
Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, AJAX, CSS, or similar web development frameworks.
Knowledge of databases including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, or comparable platforms.
Familiarity with Linux environments, containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes, and cloud-native development practices.
Experience with web servers and application platforms such as Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Node.js, or similar technologies.
Experience using GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, or software delivery workflows.
Demonstrated interest in applying AI, automation, and emerging technologies to solve business challenges and improve enterprise productivity.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
