About The Position

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Intern – RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) for Summer 2027. The internship opportunity will provide exposure to Reliability Engineering. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA. Requirements

Current Engineering student at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
Ability to support many projects and Project Managers simultaneously
Strong relevant technical skills
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Ensure the organization, scheduling, implementation and monitoring of project RAMS and V&V activities, supporting the identification of competencies required to perform such activities, requesting adequate RAMS staffing to the relevant functional managers.
Assist the project RAMS team for the achievement of project safety and reliability requirements.
Contribute to the activities and communicate the relevant information to the Project Manager
Assist in the delivery of RAMS documentation on the project.
Ensure the provision of schedule and cost constrains to relevant Product, Signaling and System RAMS Engineers
