The PMO Intern will support in driving consistency, visibility, and efficiency across projects and initiatives. This internship provides hands-on exposure to project management methodologies, governance, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced, regulated environment. The intern will work closely with project managers, business leads, and functional stakeholders while gaining practical experience aligned with a future full-time role in project or program management. This internship requires the candidate to be local to the Round Lake, IL office - 25212 IL-120, Round Lake, IL 60073.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student preferred)
  • Majors may include Engineering, Business, Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain, or related disciplines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative
  • Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles

Nice To Haves

  • familiarity with project tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers in tracking schedules, risks, dependencies, and deliverables associated with component lifecycle management and transition activities.
  • Analyze existing project management and operational processes related to obsolescence management to identify improvement opportunities, support standardization efforts, and enhance overall execution efficiency across sustaining projects.
  • Support the Digital PMO team for Infusion Systems software applications (assist with project tracking, documentation, cross‑functional coordination, and status reporting)
  • Support Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Reports Redesign including scope finalization, planning support, execution tracking
  • Support projects addressing processor component obsolescence for infusion pump system ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Participate in project meetings and capture notes, action items, and follow-ups
  • Support PMO initiatives such as process improvement, standardization, and tool optimization
