Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented R&D Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product formulation, testing, and innovation within the fast-paced supplements and ingredients sector. The ideal candidate will support a variety of research and development activities while working alongside professionals dedicated to creating high-quality nutritional solutions. This position requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
Basic understanding of product development and scientific research methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with data analysis is a plus.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a passion for nutritional science and wellness.
A minimum commitment of 20 hours per week is required.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with the supplements or ingredients industry is a plus, but not required.
Hands-on laboratory coursework or internship experience.

Responsibilities

Support bench-top formulation and prototype development for internal evaluations and customer presentations.
Assist in the preparation and organization of samples and materials for upcoming trade shows and customer events.
Participate in hands-on product development activities, including mixing, weighing, and testing ingredients under the guidance of the R&D team.
Conduct basic evaluations such as stability, solubility, and sensory testing of prototypes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Marketing, to ensure prototype readiness and alignment with project goals.
Maintain accurate records of lab activities, observations, and experimental results.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment in accordance with internal safety and quality procedures.
Complete an assigned project during the internship, with the opportunity to present findings and recommendations to the R&D team at the end of the term.
Actively participate in team meetings and product development discussions, contribute innovative ideas during brainstorming sessions, and deliver periodic updates on project progress and key learnings.
