About The Position

This position reports to the Production Manager. Reporting to the Production Engineer, the Documentation & Methods Intern supports production activities by executing and coordinating all required preparation tasks before and during production. The intern will also analyze different work sectors to improve them individually with the help of production team leads.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent will be prioritized (1st, 2nd, or 3rd internship).
Mastery of the MS Office Suite (Project and Excel).
Good knowledge of AutoCAD; ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
French is required.
English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Excel scripting and programming is an asset.
Knowledge of electrical standards (ANSI, CSA, IEEE, UL, etc.) is an asset.

Responsibilities

Participate in drafting and improving assembly instructions for the various production areas within the plant.
Create drawings of the work areas.
Develop job aids for the assembly and wiring technicians.
Improve, reorganize, and optimize the cutting, structuring, and wiring sectors.
Improve our wire-bundling method for mounting plates and work on projects involving a wire-cutting machine.
Establish Kanbans for wire, trunking/conduits, and consumable production goods.
Improve manufacturing processes, performance verification, and methods with clear acceptance criteria.
