About The Position

The Nursing Internship Level I provides age-specific, patient-centered care. As a member of the patient care team, the intern is expected to take directions from the RN for patient care assignments. The position serves patients across all age groups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proof of acceptance into or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Less than one year of experience.
• Decision-making skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork.
• Ability to learn and apply hospital computer technologies.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and standard precautions, and ability to read and write in English.
• Clinical skills and patient care.
• Documentation and reporting.
