About The Position

This internship focuses on supporting, analyzing, sourcing, and managing third-party market data vendors such as Bloomberg, MSCI, LSEG, and S&P, which are crucial for PSP Investments' operations. The role involves contributing to the team's mandate by managing contracts, services, and inventory related to licensed vendors. The intern will also assist in reporting market data P&L and inventory to business partners, participate in meetings to understand business needs, and recommend appropriate vendor solutions within PSP's target operating model.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Information Technology Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft products (Exchange, Power BI, Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.).
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research.
  • Attention to detail and a rigorous approach to research, analysis, and documentation.
  • Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in Canada for the period specified.
  • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn).

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain the market data software tool.
  • Participate in the management of market data inventory (moves, additions & cancellations).
  • Assist with invoicing validation and reconciliation.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Privacy, Legal, FP&A, Accounting, Information Security) to ensure accuracy of market data spend and completion of contractual processes, adhering to PSP policies and regulations.
  • Participate in creating, sharing, and documenting operational processes within the data vendors team.
  • Participate in the analysis of the market data budget using Power BI.
  • Participate in updating service level objectives and other processes as required.
