This internship focuses on investigating and documenting innovative tooling solutions to support the manufacturing of class 8 heavy-duty trucks, including fastening tools, lifting solutions, automation, fixturing, ground handling, and hand tools. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional production teams to develop new assembly tools and equipment, design new assembly tools using CREO/CATIA, and create assembly drawings. Additionally, the role involves utilizing continuous improvement methods (kaizen) to enhance safety, ergonomics, quality, and efficiency on the assembly line, assisting in the development of web-based systems for inventory management, and supporting competence development activities within the department.
