About The Position

This internship program is designed to increase the value and desirability of Ocean Reef Club membership and real estate by providing incomparable excellence in all services and facilities. The program will consist of on-the-job learning, involvement with Lodging departments and other club areas, Ocean Reef University classes, and opportunities for team activities and social gatherings. The primary focus will be on the Front Desk Agent role, with additional elements to provide a well-rounded experience in the club industry.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality at a private club, resort or a large-scale hotel.
  • Must be able to communicate, read, and write the English language well.
  • Able to maintain $500.00 cash bank.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests by name with a smile and a warm welcome.
  • Prepare and complete daily tasks according to checklists and special assignments from supervisors.
  • Provide assistance and information to members and guests, familiarizing yourself with club services, activities, facilities, and locations.
  • Answer questions concerning outdoor amenities such as pool locations, laundry facilities, and golf cart outlets.
  • Prepare registration cards and temporary membership cards, ensuring all special needs and requests are satisfied.
  • Check in and out members and guests courteously and friendly, using their surname at least three times.
  • Monitor house folios for accuracy, including name, address, room rate, departure date, service charge, and form of payment.
  • Take same-day and future room reservations when the reservation office is closed, demonstrating knowledge of rates, programs, packages, lodging types, and cancellation policies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all other departments.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of membership types, monthly billing, gate clearance, and sponsorship.
  • Follow cashiering procedures, verify cash banks, and accurately handle cash transactions.
  • Identify members of the Board of Directors and understand the relationship between ORC and ORCA.
  • Maintain a cheerful, helpful, professional, and service-oriented attitude.
