About The Position

AHBL is seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern to work with experienced landscape architects and designers, applying classroom knowledge to real-world projects and assisting with design efforts for a range of clients. Interns may contribute to analysis and research, field studies, design graphics, detail design, planting palettes and plans, design and documentation, and research into materials and building systems. The internship begins in June, lasts 12–14 weeks, and is approximately 24–32 hours per week. Compensation is $22–$23 per hour, with the actual rate based on coursework completed, previous experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Landscape Architecture degree program and entering the final year of coursework as a BLA student, or have completed two years of coursework as an MLA student.
• Interest in science-based or evidence-based design.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Revit.
• Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist landscape architects and designers with design efforts for various projects and clients.
