About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Landscape Architecture student to join its Nashville, Tennessee office for Summer 2027. This is an onsite, non-remote internship. The intern will contribute to site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production across projects such as land planning, urban design and redevelopment, mixed-use and residential development, streetscapes, design guidelines, public infrastructure, parks, and other community facilities. The role involves using technical software to analyze, produce, and quality-check client deliverables; assisting project managers and collaborating across disciplines; and developing familiarity with applicable regulations and company and client standards. The intern will learn one or more relevant software programs. Requirements

• Be in the process of receiving a bachelor's or master's degree in Landscape Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Use technical software regularly to analyze, produce, and quality-check client deliverables.
• Contribute to site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production.
• Work on projects involving land planning, urban design and redevelopment, mixed-use and residential development, streetscapes, design guidelines, public infrastructure, parks, and other community facilities.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to support clients’ visions for the built environment.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and with Kimley-Horn’s and clients’ practices, procedures, and standards.
• Learn one or more software programs, including Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Excel.
